Adding an MS SQL database

Open SQL management studio.



Right click Databases and select ‘New Database’



Input the database name. Click OK.



Expand Security, then right click Logins and select ‘New Login’.



Complete the below list of tasks on this page, then click User Mapping.

1. Input Login Name

2. Select SQL authentication

3. Input Password

4. Uncheck ‘enforce policy’

5. Select the new database in the default database drop down

6. Select English in the default language drop down



Tick the checkbox next to the new database name, then tick the box next to db_owner and click OK.
